This is our entry for the architectural competition “Top van Bischoff” organised by the BNA Kring Twente and the Architectuurcentrum Twente. On this project I collaborated with Remy Kroese. Our entry was part of the exhibition in the temporary town hall in Hengelo from 31.03.2011 – 06.05.2011. The theme of the competition was re-use, in this case the re-use of an existing building to create inner city living space on top of a shop. Our design is an ecological symbiont that protects and isolates the existing building and creates new green living space in the city. Below is an animation of the symbiont we designed to add to the existing department store.

Redesign of the reception area of the Museum. The interior is designed by using a powerful modern color scheme and a modern wayfinding design. The area lures the visitors into the museum and supplies them with informatino about the current exhibitions and how to navigate the museum. The color scheme helps to articulate the spatial structure of the space and communicates the strategic direction of the museum. Design of other spaces and communication are linked to this project: posters & main exhibition space.
